Frost reported in Chiang Mai as mercury dips

CHIANG MAI, 16 January 2014 (NNT) – Widespread frost was spotted in Chiang Mai’s Doi Inthanont peaks on Thursday as the temperature plummeted by up to 5 degree Celsius during the past few days.

It is the second day that frost has been reported as the mercury hovers around -1 degree to 3 degree near the peaks.
