Tourism Authority of Thailand to begin sale of Elite Cards in June

BANGKOK, 14 May 2013 (NNT) – Next month, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will begin to sell its Elite Cards, which offer a 20-year membership for 2 million baht, to foreign tourists who purchase properties in Thailand.

TAT Governor Surapol Svetasreni said the Ministry of Tourism and Sports will hold a meeting with related agencies tomorrow to discuss preparations for the launch of the Thailand Elite Card, which is produced by Thailand Privilege Card Company, a subsidiary of the TAT.

On May 30, another meeting will be held with the marketing teams for the Asian region and Russia before the Elite Cards go on sale. The cards will be sold through large property developers who have positive track records and solely cater to foreigners.
