Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra has audience with Swedish King and Queen

BANGKOK, 5 March 2013 (NNT) – King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden on Tuesday granted an audience to Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra in Stockholm during her official trip to Sweden from 4-7 March 2013.

Ms Yingluck expressed her gratitude to Their Majesties for the opportunity to meet them and offered best wishes to them on behalf of the Thai government and people. The PM also congratulated them on the approaching royal wedding ceremony of Princess Madeleine on 8 June this year.

Ms Yingluck said royal visits between Sweden and Thailand over the past 30 years were crucial to the two countries’ close ties.
