BANGKOK, Sept 18 – Hundreds of Muslims in Thailand protested peacefully outside the US Embassy in Bangkok against a film considered offensive to islam which prompted violent anti-US protests around the muslim world.

About 400 police officers were deployed to maintain law and order.
