Indian Tourist attacked and robbed by 4-man gang in Pattaya

An Indian tourist who accepted a ride back to his Hotel from a Transsexual was assaulted and robbed of a mobile phone and cash in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police were called to the Central Pattaya intersection with the Sukhumvit Road and met with Mr. Prem Pramav Priyadashi aged 26 who was shaken and injured.

He explained how he was returning to his Hotel after eating food at a stall at the entrance to Soi Nuen Plub Wan in East Pattaya when he was approached by a transsexual on a motorbike who offered him a ride.

He accepted and jumped onto the bike which was driven towards the Central Pattaya Road. Three men on two further motorbikes approached from behind and Mr. Priyadashi was led into a secluded area close to the intersection where he was attacked. A Blackberry Phone and 1,000 US Dollars were taken from him before all 4 attackers, the four men and the transsexual left in the direction of Bangkok.
