The defendant is Mr. Supphakit, or “Bo,” age 22, address 40/12 Moo 11 Tambon NongPreu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. He was arrested with the evidence: a green waistcoat used by motorbike drivers for hire, with “GOLDEN GYM” printed on the back of the waistcoat; a brown helmet; and a blue Yamaha Suzuki motorbike, license number KHOR LOR LOR-771 Chonburi. Mr. Supphakit also had an iPhone with SIM card, which belonged to the victim, “Ms. A”(alias), age 17, who works at a Pattaya minimart. She pointed him out to confirm as the suspect who raped her and stole her phone and cash.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Jamnong Rattanakul revealed that at 6 p.m. on July 18, “Ms. A” came to notify the police that at 4 p.m., she had left her room in Soi Nongkateyai, Amphur Banglamung to go to work at a minimart in North Pattaya. She called a hiring motorbike to drive her to the workplace. But the motorbike driver, Mr. Supphakit, instead drove to the intersection of Photisarn Road and Soi Thai Udom Road in North Pattaya, and then turned into the forest behind a pile of junk where no people passed by. Then Mr. Supphakit raped her and stole her cash and mobile phone.

During questioning, Mr. Supphakit confessed to raping the victim and stealing her property. He admitted that he did not work as a motorbike driver, but had picked up the waistcoat and disguised himself as a driver-for-hire to get money and make trouble with the female victim.
“Mr. Bo” said he used to be a construction worker and also confessed that he had previously been arrested for the same crime. But the court had dismissed him, and he avoided trouble, until today when he found the good-looking victim, so he made trouble again and was arrested by the police.
