TAT expects 150,000 visitors at Pattaya International Music Festival 2012

CHONBURI, 26 April 2012 (NNT) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand expects more than 100,000 visitors at the international music extravaganza in Pattaya.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s Chonburi office director Attaphol Wannakij said that the upcoming Pattaya International Music Festival 2012 is expected to welcome as many as 150,000 Thai and foreign revelers during the 3-day event, which starts on April 27th.

Mr. Attaphol stated that the organizers have spent around 40 million baht to put this year’s event together.

In return, it is forecast that the festival will see approximately 1 billion baht in tourist revenue circulating in Pattaya.

The TAT’s Chonburi office director added that the Pattaya International Music Festival 2012 is part of the government-initiated Miracle Year of Amazing Thailand 2012 project, which aims to boost the tourism industry and tourist revenue.
