Thai army helicopter crashes in park, third this month

Bangkok – An army helicopter crashed early Sunday in a national park in western Thailand, news reports said, the third chopper to go down in the area this month in a series of ill-fated evacuation missions.

The Bell 212 helicopter crashed in Kaeng Krachan National Park, Phetchabhuri province, 165 kilometres south-west of Bangkok, killing two pilots and one soldier, and injuring another, the Thai Rath online news service reported.
