Suvarnabhumi Airport dressed up for Songkran

BANGKOK, 8 April 2011 (NNT) – Suvarnabhumi International Airport has launched celebrative activities in conjunction with the upcoming Songkran Thai New Year Festival, 13-15 April, by decorating the terminal in festive atmosphere and holding cultural activities for passengers.

Suvarnabhumi Airport General Manager Flying Officer Anirut Thanomkulbutra on Thursday presided over the inauguration of the festivities to welcome both Thai and foreign passengers to the festival.

To impress both Thai and international tourists, the terminal has been re-decorated and festive activities have been prepared for tourists, during which they will be invited to pour lustral water on Buddha statues, and to decorate sand pagodas with small flags.
