Two dead, five injured as vehicle fails to stop at North Pattaya Police checkpoint

A road crash left two dead and five injured after a car failed to stop at a Police Checkpoint in North Pattaya.

In the early hours of Saturday Morning a White Isuzu Pick-up failed to stop at the checkpoint and left the area at a high rate of speed. Police gave chase and caught up with the vehicle in Soi Nong Yai in East Pattaya. The driver of the vehicle lost control at a sharp curve and slammed into a wall in front of a house.

Police discovered a bag of crystal methamphetamines in the truck. Officers speculated that the driver panicked after he saw the police checkpoint set up to look for drugs and weapons, then ran through the barricade and lost control of the vehicle.
