Thai Police & US DEA Announce Operation ‘Hot Spot’ in Pattaya

Representatives from the Royal Thai Police, local and provincial administrations and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) held a press conference on Wednesday announcing the commencement of the anti-drug initiative titled Operation ‘Hot Spot.’

Pattaya, the 22nd of September 2010 [PDN]: Held from Pattaya City Hall, a congregation of local authorities, administrators, government officials, representatives from the private sector and a representative of the US DEA announced the commencement of Operation ‘Hot Spot’ in Pattaya and several other key locations throughout Thailand.

Present at the press release were; Mr. Senee Jitkasem (Chon-Buri Governor), Major-General Sorasak Yenprem (Narcotics Suppression Bureau Division 2 Commander), Mr. Itthiphol Khunpluem (Pattaya City Mayor), Major-General Thanet Pinmeung-ngam (Chon-Buri Provisional Police Commander) and Special Agent Jeffery Eig from the US Drug Enforcement Administration.
