Chulalongkorn Hospital launches robot facilitated venipuncture service

BANGKOK, July 16 – King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital managers on Friday introduced the first Thai-made robot to help facilitate blood collecting tubes for blood-drawing procedures in hospital.
Hospital director Dr Adisorn Patradul and Dr Thewarug Werawatganon, assistant director of Patient Support Service, said at a press conference that the robotic innovation was the brainchild of the hospital’s venipuncture clinic, aiming to lessen mistakes and to make blood drawing procedures faster.
