One of the best local restaurants is the Pla Pla Restaurant, which serves freshly prepared gourmet seafood dishes. Located in Laem Yai, this restaurant offers five-star dining in a tropical open air setting.
Nabin Gurung is the Pla Pla Restaurant’s food and beverage director. In an interview with the Samui Express she explained the secret of the restaurant’s success: “Our upscale reputation may have made diners on the island think twice in coming here but we are not that expensive despite the five-star quality and service we provide.”
