Koh Samui welcomes flights from China

Hotel and restaurant staff on Koh Samui are currently brushing up on their Chinese skills in order to welcome Chinese tourists, who are expected to start flocking to the island in just a couple of weeks.

Canton Nanher International Travel Service, one of China’s leading tour agencies, will launch charter flights from Guangzhou to Samui and Phangan in July.

“It is a good opportunity for the tourism business on Koh Samui as it is a chance to promote the tourist attractions of the island during their visit and put up various activities and festivals to establish a good impression for the visitors,” Phanu Woramit, TAT regional director in Suratthani, told the Samui Express recently.

Canton Nanher International Travel Service will provide customers with five day package tours, treating them to the best that Samui has to offer, including plenty of time to soak up the sun on the beautiful beaches and indulge in delicious Thai food.

The new Chinese package tours are expected to serve as a much needed boost to the tourism recently, which has been dwindling due to the worldwide recession and various other factors.
