More than 2,000 Fetuses Found at Thai Temple in Bangkok

Update: Police have found more than a thousand fetus corpses hidden in the morgue of a Bangkok temple.

The latest discovery drove the total number of remains to more than 2,000.

A police forensic team along with volunteers found 1,654 more fetus corpses in two coffin slots inside Wat Phai Ngern’s morgue, bringing the total number of the fetal remains to 2,002.

The finding occurred after Suchart Phumee, the temple’s undertaker and one of the suspects in the case, confessed to investigators about more hidden human remains.

Earlier this week, police have uncovered more than 300 dead fetuses from this same temple.

Investigators have yet to file any charge against the two undertakers who work for the temple.
