Indian Tourist Assaulted and Robbed by Four Women in Pattaya Over Alleged Payment Dispute
In a shocking incident in Pattaya, an Indian tourist was assaulted and robbed by four women following an alleged dispute over payment for escort services. The attack, which occurred in the early hours of March 21, 2025, has raised concerns about safety and criminal activities in the popular tourist destination.
At approximately 3:20 AM, Pattaya police received a report of an assault and robbery at a rental house in Soi Kromtidin. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation arrived at the scene alongside police officers.
The victim, identified only as Mr. N, a 40-year-old Indian national, was found with injuries to his left eyebrow and swelling on his head from being struck with a beer bottle. Bloodstains were visible at the entrance of the house, and a 100-baht banknote was discovered near the swimming pool. Broken beer bottles were scattered across the area, indicating a violent altercation.
Mr. N was provided with first aid by emergency responders before being transported to Bangkok Pattaya Hospital for further treatment.
Mr. N explained to police that he and two friends, also Indian nationals, had rented the house for four days. On the night of the incident, they had visited Walking Street, Pattaya’s famous nightlife area.

Upon returning to their rental house, they were followed by four Thai women on two motorcycles. The women allegedly entered the house and demanded 6,000 baht, threatening Mr. N with a beer bottle. Fearing for his safety, he threw 4,000 baht at them, but the women refused to leave and instead struck him with the bottle. One of Mr. N’s frightened friends then handed over an additional 10,000 baht, after which the attackers fled the scene, local media reported.
The victims contacted a Thai friend in Bangkok, who subsequently notified the police and emergency services.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and track down the suspects. However, officers have expressed skepticism about the victims’ statements, noting that they initially requested only medical assistance and insisted they did not want police involvement.
Authorities suspect the incident may have stemmed from a dispute over payment for escort services, though this has not been confirmed. The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to gather more evidence to determine the exact circumstances of the altercation.
