TBT at Suvarnabhumi airport to facilitate luggage handling

BANGKOK, Nov 15 – The Transfer Baggage Terminal (TBT) service at Savarnabhumi International Airport has started operation with the aim of facilitating passengers on transferring flight, said the airport director Prapon Pattamakitsakul.

On average there are 13,000 pieces of baggage per day for passengers departing Bangkok for overseas, said Mr Prapon, adding that the TBT, which has started operation since November 1, could help reduce time on transferring luggage from one aircraft to one hour from 1:15 hours before.
