Two defence volunteers wounded in Yala bombing

YALA, Feb – Two defence volunteers were wounded in the latest roadside bombing in this southern border province on Wednesday as the army chief is visiting the restive region to inspect military operations.

The incident took place this morning as a group of eight defence volunteers were riding motorcycles on their mission to protect teachers. The 3kg bomb was detonated as the group travelled on a road in Yupo sub-district of the provincial seat.
