PATTANI, Oct 17 – A retired teacher was shot twice on the head and died instantly today while heading home on his motorcycle in this southernmost province of Thailand, police said.

Police and forensic officials from Panare district inspected the scene and found the body of Chan Sisongsaeng, 62, on a road 300 metres from his house.
