New centre to tackle southern violence: Deputy PM Yuthasak

BANGKOK, July 31 – Security concerned agencies today agreed to set up an integrated operations centre to tackle Thailand’s southern border violence following increasing deadly attacks on the country’s security personnel, Deputy Prime Minister Yuthasak Sasiprapa said Tuesday.

Gen Yuthasak disclosed the information after a two-hour meeting of security agencies chaired by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
