Bangkok Metropolitan Police on Thursday arrested Weerapong Nilyakanont, 55, for involving in the Tuesday’s hoax call about bombs being planted at six locations inside Parliament.
“The false warning triggered panick on the day the House of Representatives was scheduled to vote for the new speaker,” Metropolitan Region I commander Maj General Wichai Sangprapai said.
Since the call was made from the mobile telephone No 087-094-2406, police could trace it back to Weerapong living at a Hua Mark apartment.
