Incoming Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has indicated that she will perform only as the prime minister and will not take the concurrent post of defence minister as has been rumoured.

Ms Yingluck Shinawatra stated that at present she is really busy as the incoming prime minister and therefore will not be able to take the defence minister’s portfolio at the same time. She said consideration will be made again on the person who will hold the post of defence minister.
