HM the King of Thailand undergoes a treatment to rectify his unstable gait

BANGKOK, 2 May 2011 (NNT) -The Bureau of the Royal Household issued the announcement No.36 on His Majesty the King’s health condition, following his hospitalization at Siriraj with fever, fatigue and lung inflammation. All symptoms have been cleared and His Majesty has stayed at the hospital for physical rehabilitation.

Royal physicians found that His Majesty had not been stable in his walks and had conducted special investigations occasionally. Results show that the unstable condition has been caused by high cerebrospinal fluid in the cavity of the brain. This symptom usually occurs with the aged. Following consultations with experts, both domestic and foreign, they agree to treat the symptom with a standard method by inserting a tube to drain cerebrospinal fluid from the spinal area into the bowels.
