PAD Yellow Shirts rally at Royal Plaza, Bangkok

BANGKOK, Feb 11 — The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), also known as the Yellow Shirt movement, marched from its rally site at Makkhawan Bridge on Rajdamnern Nok Avenue to the capital’s Royal Plaza to make an oath of allegiance to the monarchy and country at the King Chulalongkorn Equestrian Statue before returning to its rally site.

Twelve companies of police were deployed along the route to provide security during the Yellow Shirt rally but no violence happened and most police returned to Government House with only a few left near Makkhawan Bridge.
