Bangkok: Pregnant Woman Aids in Arrest of Armed Car Thieves

A woman nine months pregnant, was rewarded with 10,000 baht after assisting police officers in catching a car thief in Bangkok.

Bangkok, 6th August 2010: The Khao Sod Thai newspaper reported that police Major General Kreerin Inkaew (Metropolitan Police 9 Commander), police Colonel Sunthorn Torod (Luksong Police Station Superintendent), police Lieutenant Colonel Yutthaphong Intharaphong (Luksong Police Station Deputy Superintendent), Female Captain Angkhana Bunyong (the victim) along with the representative from the Tesco Lotus presented a gift basket to the team of officers as a reward in accordance with their “Immediately catch, immediately pay” campaign”. In addition to this, Police Major General Kreerin Inkaew presented a gift of 10,000 baht to Miss Thitima Yurawan a 9 month pregnant lady who assisted the officer in catching the offenders.

On 4th of August 2010, two offenders used a knife to force Female Captain Angkhana Bunyong [54] (undercover Marine solider) to give up her gray bronze Toyota Fortuner car from the Bangkhae Tesco Lotus. Miss Thitima Yurawan [33] who was in her car approached the scene when she noticed an incident before informing the police and Jor-Sor 100 radio station and then following the offenders.
