Electric Tuk Tuk

The Pilgreens will connect Bangkok to Toulouse with an electric Tuk Tuk

Karen Koulakian and Ludwig Merz, double degree students at the College of Management of Mahidol University (Double degree with IAE Toulouse, France), have decided to take up an insane yet audacious and thoughtful challenge: driving back to France with an electric Tuk Tuk!

Rémy Fernandes-Dandré, their friend currently working in Paris, will join this unique travel experience. Together they studied International Management in Toulouse, France, and today they are laying the foundations of an international organization, THE PILGREENS, which aims to be a global promoter of the benefits of cleaner sources of energy.

Karen, Ludwig, and Rémy were inspired by the Tuk Tuk of Thailand and came up with a great initiative: they want to test the strength of electric power. Starting this June, they will ride an electric-powered Tuk Tuk from Bangkok to Toulouse across 16 countries over about 120 days. The three students found it important to highlight the urgency of taking action for the environment while the world is facing the crises of pollution and global warming.

The intention behind this adventure is to tackle climate change and encourage less polluting and less harmful practices by conveying health-related and environmental benefits.

The Pilgreens are on the lookout for sponsors and partners due to their need to cover the fees of their travel. All staff, students, and alumni from Mahidol University are welcome to help and contribute to this initiative. You can do so by sharing any ideas and/or connections that may help the three students achieve their goal.
