BANGKOK, 5 March 2014 (NNT) – Organizers of the 35th Bangkok Motor Show have expressed their confidence that Thailand’s automotive sector will continue to grow despite the expiration of the government’s first-car buyer scheme.
According to them, after the first-car buyer scheme, the sector has been growing gradually, up by 5-15 year-on-year. They also expect a bright outlook for this year’s performance and remain unfazed by the ongoing political turmoil.
Critics however expressed their concern given that the 30th Thailand International Motor Expo, held in December of last year, became the victim of anti-government protests, with attendance and car sales dropping significantly.
