Transnational drug gang busted: 65kg heroin seized

BANGKOK, March 12 – Members of a transnational drug trafficking gang led by a Thai police officer were arrested and 65.8 kilogrammes of heroin with a street value of Bt100 million was confiscated.

Drug suppression police said they earlier arrested a couple, identified as Mr Sakhon and Yanwattana Piasang as they delivered 188 bars of heroin to a man identified as Bird in Chana district of the southern province of Songkhla.
