CHON BURI, 30 November 2012 (NNT) – Thai Police successfully arrested three Iranian drug suspects, netting more than 300 million baht worth of precursor chemicals and disrupting the international operation during a raid in Chon Buri province’s Banglamung district this week.
The first arrest was that of Ali Behnam Asadollahi on Sunday. Mohammad Mehdi Manaei and Behtd Gharhyoz were nabbed three days later. According to police, all three suspects have pleaded guilty to their crimes.
Deputy National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Somyos Phumpanmuang said Chon Buri police had been monitoring the movement of the Iranian drug-trafficking gang for over a year.
The surveillance discovered that the network was manufacturing drugs in Pattaya.
