Roads to be blocked for His Majesty’s birthday celebrations

BANGKOK, 30 November 2012 (NNT) – Bangkok Police have informed the public that a government exhibition to commemorate His Majesty the King’s Birthday Anniversary will affect traffic around the Royal Plaza next Tuesday night until Wednesday night.

Traffic Police Commander Police Major General Piya Tawichai said 1,500 Metropolitan police officers and 600 Traffic Police officers will be deployed to secure the exhibition. His Majesty is scheduled to travel to Anata Samakhom Throne Hall to make a public appearance on Wednesday morning.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has also been scheduled to preside over a ceremony on Wednesday evening at Sanam Luang to honor His Majesty.
