SUKHOTHAI, June 12 – Flooding in the northern province of Sukhothai and the southern province of Trang has not eased, as swollen rivers are still overflowing into low-lying areas, submerging houses and roads.
In Sukhothai, floods have entered three communities in the provincial seat. Pichet Thaikla, mayor of the Sukhothai municipality cooperated with the Third Army Region and college student volunteers to reinforce flood control dykes along the Yom River which has flooded riverside communities and a section of Highway 101 since yesterday.
