Thai Democrats to hold campaign at Ratchaprasong on 23 June

BANGKOK, 18 June 2011 (NNT) – Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban has announced that the Democrat Party will launch a campaign at Ratchaprasong Intersection on 23 June while calling for the red shirts to stop all disturbances.

In his capacity as the Democrat Party Secretary-General, Mr Suthep stated that a major campaign of the party had been scheduled for 23 June at Ratchaprasong Intersection with a goal to publicize facts and create a correct understanding with the Thai people about the political turmoil in May 2010. In order to avoid violating the electoral laws, the party is thoroughly studying their details to determine whether related evidence, such as photos and video clips, can be shown during the event.
