Heavy flooding hits Pattaya, Thailand

CHONBURI, 8 June 2011 (NNT) – Heavy rains last night have flooded Pattaya City while many homes reported to have been inundated. Residents are asking local authorities to establish a special team to ease this problem. According to the report, it had been raining hard in Pattaya City and its surrounding areas which lasted 3 hours last night.

The water could not be drained fast enough and flooded roads in the city at the height of no less than 1 meter. Many vehicles broke down and were left on the road side. Over 50 homes have been inundated with their belongings and electrical appliances reportedly being damaged by water.
